Dear Jenn,
As I prepare for my 32nd trip around the sun, I wanted to share some things that have brought me joy with every passing year.
There has always been so much emphasis on getting older. With every milestone, comes a new set of expectations, responsibilities, and projections for the years ahead.
In our youth, we yearned for “adulthood” – our sweet 16, our first lottery ticket at 18, a [legal] drink at 19…(for me, and 21 for you Americans)…and then somewhere after that – through heartbreaks and new experiences and LOTS of clutter – came the ominous, looming cloud of 30. And then of course, if we’re lucky: 40, 50, 60, and so on.
As time ticks on, and my lower back begins to ache more than ever before, I’ve been beginning to really think about *life*…and focus on prioritizing unfiltered joy.
