What is Friends Forever?
Friends Forever is a bi-weekly newsletter written by Jenn Im and Dani Roche. We’re two long distance friends trying our best to be…friends forever. Equal parts levity and intensity, follow along as we dive deep into the complex topic that is friendship, through the lens of our own.
Having already built successful careers through visual storytelling - Jenn through videos, and Dani through image-making - Friends Forever is a project where we can challenge ourselves through written expression. Think of it as a growing time capsule of our “forever” friendship, as well as a space in which we can inspire, uplift, and keep conversations flowing.
What you can expect
Friends Forever is less of a statement, and more of a commitment. A “best case scenario” in a landscape that breeds gossip, scarcity mindsets, and cancel culture. The fact of the matter is, there is no guarantee that ANYONE can be friends forever. But through good intentions, honest conversations, and (hopefully) a lot of entries posted here, we can certainly try.
It takes a lot of work to build and foster meaningful friendships, and this newsletter will leave no leaf unturned. Here, we will laugh, cry, and share recommendations - from cute shoes to sad songs. And of course, we will also discuss what it TRULY means to be a friend. By asking ourselves hard questions and challenging each other, we hope we can only continue to strengthen our bond, and hopefully get you, reader, thinking about your own friendships along the way.
